Membership Benefits

The Colorado Aviation Business Association’s mission is to foster and promote aviation and related business  throughout the state of Colorado; to collectively address and respond to issues impacting aviation within the state, including safety and operational effectiveness; to educate the general public about all aviation activities, and to preserve airports and related businesses as valuable economic assets to the community at large.  Following this mission over the last two years have led us to create a variety of benefits for our members.

  • Regular newsletters with timely and informative content relating to airport businesses in Colorado

Key Accomplishments:

 

  • Hosted the first annual "Aviation Saves..." event, a business and general aviation advocacy  and public awareness event featuring Ed Bolen, Pete Bunce, Jim Coyne and Jack Pelton along with 30+ Static participants and exhibitors.
  • Membership meeting featuring Astronaut Hoot Gibson, garnering over 200 attendees
  • Formed strong working partnerships with the Rocky Mountain Metro Regional Group, Rocky Mountain Aviation Safety Roundtable, Colorado Airport Operators Association and the Southern Colorado Regional Group
  • Creating a powerful and very user friendly website for our membership
  • Establishment of regional Schedulers and Dispatchers committee with quarterly socials gathering with close to 40 individuals attending.
  • Advocacy against the Large Aircraft Security Program, anti-Colorado Aviation Fuel Tax initiative, and proposed Amendments 60 & 61.
  • Establishment of Flight Attendant committee
  • Eexpanded to the Colorado Aviation Business Association to provide statewide advocacy to all airport businesses throughout Colorado.
